Introduction

Vedanta Resources plc (“Vedanta” or the “Group”) is a LSE-listed diversified natural resources major, with interests in zinc, lead, silver, copper, aluminium, iron ore, commercial power and oil & gas.

Vedanta Resources Plc has listed and unlisted operating subsidiaries across India, Africa, Europe and Australia.

For the half year ended 30 September 2015, the Vedanta Group generated Revenues of US$5.7 billion, EBITDA of US$1.3 billion and Free Cash Flow (before expansion capital expenditure) of US$1.7 billion and $1.3 billion post expansion capex.

The group has USD-denominated bonds issued by Vedanta Resources plc and convertible bonds issued by Vedanta Resources Jersey Limited and Vedanta Resources Jersey II Limited, both wholly-owned subsidiaries of Vedanta Resources plc.

The Group's cash and liquid investments are held primarily in high-quality debt mutual funds and banks with high credit ratings. The underlying investment portfolios of the Indian subsidiaries are regularly reviewed by CRISIL (a subsidiary of Standard & Poor).
