Mr Agarwal is also Executive Vice Chairman of Sterlite, Chairman of KCM and MALCO and a director of BALCO, HZL and VAL. Mr. Agarwal has overseen the Group's operations in India for many years. He has over 20 years of experience of general management and commercial matters, having been involved in Sterlite since its inception.

Mr Kaura is also Managing Director of Sterlite, Deputy Chairman of KCM and a director of VAL and HZL, the company he joined in 2002.  Formerly Managing Director of ABB India, part of the international engineering group.

Naresh Chandra

Mr Chandra has had several senior government posts including Cabinet Secretary from 1990 to 1992, Senior Adviser to the Prime Minister of India from 1992 to 1995 and the Indian Ambassador to the USA from 1996 to 2001.  He was Chairman of the Indian Government Committee on Corporate Governance from 2002 to 2003 and Chairman of the Committee on Civil Aviation Policy.  He is a non-executive director of several Indian industrial companies.  He is also Chairman of the National Steel Council of the Confederation of Indian Industries.

Aman Mehta

Mr Mehta spent 30 years with HSBC and retired as Chief Executive of the Hongkong Bank in December 2003. He is an independent non-executive director of several companies in India and overseas, including PCCW Limited (Hong Kong), Raffles Holdings Limited (Singapore), Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Jet Airways, Pvt Limited and Wockhardt Limited (India).

Dr. SK Tamotia

Dr. SK Tamotia is an Executive Vice Chairman of VISA International Limited and a director of VISA Industries Limited.  He was President and CEO of the Indian Aluminium Company Limited, part of the Aditya Birla Group, which he joined in 1997. For the previous 13 years he worked at NALCO, including as Chairman and Managing Director from 1993, the public sector Indian aluminium company, and he also has experience of the Indian iron and steel industries.

Euan Macdonald spent over 20 years with S.G. Warburg, specialising in Emerging Market finance.  From 1995 to 1998 Mr Macdonald was Chairman of SBC Warburg India, responsible for all of the bank's activities in India, and then from 1999 to 2001 he was Executive Vice Chairman of HSBC Securities and Capital Markets, India.
